Trent Johnson

Trent Johnson joined the Policy Council in the fall of 2012 as Development Director. From 2002 to 2012, Trent was the Regional Resource Development Director for the Salvation Army.  His responsibilities included managing the major gift program for as many as 20 Salvation Army Commands servicing 20 counties from eastern North Carolina and 40 counties in South Carolina.  He was recognized four times as a Top Producer for The Salvation Army, Southern Territory and was honored for his strategic creativity thinking for building donor relationships.

Prior to his work with the Salvation Army, he served as chairman of the History Department at The Byrnes Schools in Florence, South Carolina; his courses included U.S. history, economics, government, global studies, and geography. He holds a BA in History from Coker College.

Trent and his wife Regina have three children, ages 10, 14, and 17.
