Jeff Dircksen

Jeff Dircksen has begun as the Policy Council’s Executive Vice President. Jeff manages SCPC’s daily operations. Prior to joining SCPC, Jeff was Director of Congressional Analysis for the National Taxpayers Union Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia. He oversaw the Foundation’s research on a number of budget and tax policy issues including Congressional spending and tax reform. He has written numerous budget and tax articles for publication, including co-authoring an article, with the late John Berthoud, for the inaugural edition of the French political science journal Politique Américaine. Jeff began his career in public policy as the lead personal income tax analyst for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Revenue. Jeff earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Hastings College (Hastings, Nebraska), and an M.S. in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie-Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College.
